Live your dream in paradise as you wake to the sound of the Pacific Ocean at your doorstep in this 3-bedroom 3-bath beach front home. One of four beachfront homes ideal for family reunions or small weddings.*

Have breakfast on your large living room lanai, or on the private lanai off the master suite on the second floor. Master Suite includes modern bath with ocean views. The upstairs sleeping loft includes a full bathroom. Your Hawaiian hale (home) also includes a spacious living room, fully equipped open kitchen, dining area, two bedrooms (1 king, 2 twins) and a full bath with tub/shower on the ground floor. All 3 bedrooms and sleeping loft have AC.

The Master Suite is located on the ocean side of the second floor. It features panoramic ocean views, a private lanai (balcony), Air Conditioning, a spacious bathroom with a soaker tub with ocean views and a queen size bed. In addition, the second floor features a sleeping loft with two twin beds, a/c and a full bathroom.

This home includes an outside Hot/Cold enclosed shower, free WI-FI Internet access, cable sports channels and HI-Def Smart Flat Screen TV. 57-501, on the right/east, and 57-503, on the left/west, have identical floor plans.

Fire up the grill and sip your evening drink as you view spectacular sunsets from your outdoor dining area. Step down from your deck to a generous lawn area overlooking the beach.

Take stairs down to the small sandy beach with reef and tide pools to explore; walk east 100 yards to the rightand find a swimming area and keyhole opening to the ocean; continue walking east another 100 yards to the west end of beautiful Kawela Bay.

You won’t forget your experience on the North Shore with stunning ocean views; watching whales and giant surf in the winter, swimming and snorkeling in the summer, and soaking in beautiful sunsets year-round.

  Our stay in #3 was the start of our trip of a lifetime. The house was large, clean and the view was perfect - sunrise, rainbows and beautiful blue waves- from the lanai. The north shore wind was excessive one day and caused a little water to get in by a sliding door. Property management was there in 10 minutes to access the issue and once the wind died down we had no further problems. You can’t beat service like that. Our family would definitely stay at this property again.

  We booked this NorthShore property for a family vacation with 6 adults. Beautiful views from the large covered deck (and even from inside) was our favorite part. There are steep stairs going down to the beautiful rocky beach, but even my 80+ year old Mom could maneuver with a little help. Kitchen had most everything you need - take a look at the layout picture in the listing to figure out best sleep arrangements (my brother and I played rock, paper, scissors to determine who got the upstairs bedroom!) Decor a little outdated, but that is not why we were there! Having a washer / dryer was helpful. Possibly adding some handles in the bathroom would help those with some mobility issues. Would definitely stay again.

  We really loved our stay at this beach house. The ocean view was stunning, and we enjoyed sunset every night on the deck. My daughter spent hours in the rock pool out the front. The location was a short drive to everything we wanted - Climbworks, Polynesian Cultural centre, Sunset Beach, Supermarkets and the gorgeous town of Hale’iwa.
  House has everything you need for cooking at home. Only thing I recommend is that you bring an eye mask for the master bedroom - it’s very bright early in the morning! But.. the view is worth it!
  We loved the cats, chickens and lizards roaming around. Also, the process of booking, making amendments, checking in and out with Team Real Estate was simple and seamless. Overall, we loved our stay here and would love to return someday! We highly recommend to others. Thanks!

  We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the magnificent sundowns from the patio, had breakfasts while seeing turtles and even a monk seal right in front of the house. It is only some steps down to the ocean.
  Check-in was very easy. Shortly before we received a call, if we have all info we need, which we appreciated. The house is generally wonderful. There were only some minor issues that were slightly affecting us. The dishwasher was running, but did not really clean, so we had to wash the dishes by hand. The air condition in the master bedroom was dripping on the patio when we arrived, but after having mentioned that, it was fixed the next day. We did not really need it, since there is a nice breeze through the house when you open all windows. There are very useful fans in the master bedroom (working) and coming up the staircase (which unfortunately did not work during our stay). It's a pity that there are no fans in the 2 bedrooms on the ground floor.
  But the house and its location is so wonderful, that we would come back when being again on Oahu next time.

  What a great property to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, steps to the ocean and room for all 8 of us for beds and baths. After a short drive to Historic Surf town Haleiewa to rent snorkel gear we all snorkeled to the west of us, easy sand entrance and the SEA LIFE was incredible! We needed a new toaster and rental staff had one to us within hours, but I would suggest a set of new cutting knives and new Skillets. The deck was our hangout and ocean views of sunrise to sunsets will be forever on all my families memories! the AC units in each of the 4 bedrooms was so nice for comfortable sleeping.

  My daughter decided to get married on the North Shore. A friend recommended we stay here at the beach front houses. The views of the ocean are incredible ! Loved sleeping to the sound of the waves. Walking along the beach, although the area in front of houses is rather rocky. The sunsets were gorgeous. We were able to see whales breaching, from a long distance away but viewable with binoculars.
  My daughter got married in the property and everyone commented on how wonderful the location was for a beach wedding. Would highly recommend anyone wanting an ocean view to stay here.

The house was very clean when we arrived. It met all of our requirements and more. Easily sleeps 8 people. After multiple visits to the island, this has been our favorite spot to stay.   We rented three of your beachfront houses for a family reunion. First visit to Hawaii. Very happy with the property location, household furnishings, etc. Experienced an unusual number of mechanical problems during our one week stay: two plumbing leaks, two broken dishwashers, a broken toilet. Team RE staff very responsive. Six of us suffered thru a wicked 24 hr GI virus during our visit. We purchased supplies and completed a deep clean of appliances, bathrooms, surfaces. Wondered whether feral cats and chickens roaming on decks, dining tables, and outdoor furniture might have been a contributing factor?

  We rented this home along with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Great location right on the ocean. We sat on the lanai and spotted a whale twice and a sea turtle once. Convenient to Turtle Bay public beach. The home is spacious and actually nicer that it appears from the pics posted to the web. We saved a few bucks by eating breakfast a couple of lunches at "home".
  
  The beach is not for the faint of heart but is very interesting.

  Our first house rental on Hawaiian islands, have done many around the world. Chose north shore for surfing and to be away from Honolulu. The house is in fine shape and clean. Nothing fancy but worked well for us...2 parents, 2 adult children and their significant others. Awesome view and nice lawn. No real water activity in front of house and at high tide no beach to walk. At low tide you can walk down the beach and find a place to swim. Neighboring houses are close but both were very quiet during our stay. We drove to beaches and surf spots daily. Not much snorkeling available this time of year. Would go back. Also 3 miles from pipeline and grocery store.

  These properties are the BEST way to experience the North Shore of Oahu. With such a idyllic setting we were always looking forward to beginning and ending our days of adventure at the house.Everything was as advertised, and the children lov3ed being able to get to the beach quickly! Our only down side is that the directions to the house are very poor if you are arriving after dark! The highway is poorly marked and the Team Real Estate sign is not there as indicated.

  Absolutely loved our stay at Kawela Kai Nani 501. The property was within walking distance along the beach of our niece’s destination wedding venue. Also in short driving distance were the incredible Ted’s Bakery, Sunset Beach, and kid friendly Shark’s Cove for snorkeling or just wading and viewing the sea life. The house was extremely clean and comfortable for our group of 4 adults and two young children. Rooster crowing to wake you in the morning and the relaxing surf sounds to put you to sleep. A great vacation place!

  The house was great, amazing views from the Living Room, Lanai, Backyard, Master Bed and Bath. Stocked everything you need. Perfect location for us, we spent time at Turtle Bay, Wiamea Beach, Valley and Falls, Sharks Cove, Sunset Beach and Haliewa Beach. Ted's Bakery is so close a d you cant beat the food at Ted's. We also enjoyed Haleiwa Beachhouse, Food Trucks and Shark Diving at One Ocean Diving, which is about 20 minutes away.

  Great north shore location just two minutes south of Turtle Bay. The view of the ocean is just like the photos, and the kids had fun finding hermit crabs and small fish in the rocky tidepools below. They found it hard not to feed cereal to the few stray chickens. The sandy beach stretches 10-15 min walk north, usually empty, some college students came by one night to fish for a few minutes. Between 2 parents and 6 kids we all had beds to sleep in. Two of the kids shared the king downstairs (two twins would have been nice) and we took the queen upstairs. No air conditioning on the main level, but each bedroom had one which was essential at night (85F and humid in May/June, but cooled down by morning). The upstairs floor had two large vertical screens that let air in constantly, negating some of the effects of the air conditioning. We made the mistake of cooking frozen pizzas in the oven which heated the downstairs even more! The house and grounds were clean and well kept, and we felt safe. Neighbors on both sides were rarely seen, and not heard, even from the balcony. New furniture on patio and on main level. Internet wifi worked inside on main level and upstairs, but no signal outside. We had a 15 passenger van which fit on the cement parking pad. Exiting the property onto the highway in this size of a vehicle was easier heading south, but we figured out how to loop around the driveway palm trees to head north without having to do a 3-point turn in the bus lane on the moderately busy 2 lane highway. Foodland grocery store 8 minutes to the south. About 14 min to Laie PCC. Kids had fun snorkeling at Turtle Bay, parking there was not difficult even in the van. Walking distance north to a roadside fruit stand. Cheapest local gas we found was at the 7-11 right next to the Team Real Estate office in Haliewa, but there is also one on the way to Foodland. Great experience overall - we would come to this rental home again.

  We rented three of the homes, and they were all beautiful! Two of the homes were newly renovated, which was a nice surprise, and they were all very clean. The owners are also very nice, and were there to help us out with whatever we needed (even when we accidentally locked our marriage license in the safe on the day of our wedding! They were over to help us in no time.) The view can't be beat, and it's the perfect backdrop for a beach wedding! Every morning we were whale watching on the porch and hunting for shells and corals on the beach! The houses are next to great food trucks and beach spots. There is literally nothing bad I can say about this place or about the rental company that handled the reservations and check-in/check-out. They made our trip, and ultimately our wedding, a perfect experience and memory! Our only issue was that we couldn't stay longer.

  Overall the house fit the needs of our large family gathering of 8. The views from the mater bedroom, the livingroom, the deck and yard are absolutely stunning! The large master suite was where I slept, with modern bath and great view even from the shower and i was delighted with it, (But could have benefited from a dresser for clothing, and a side table by the bed). While the master is heavenly, with sounds of the ocean, the other 6 sleeping spots are on the road side and the road noise was quite bothersome to sleep with.
  A few other suggestions...the fan in the sleeping area on the backside of the master did not seem to work. The board above the lower cabinet fell off upon opening the cabinet, needs to be repaired, (we saw a small “b” written on it as though it was known to be broken, but not yet fixed. The motion detector lighting does not go on, so if not fixed, bring a flashlight.
  The kitchen was well supplied and lovely. The outside shower is great! The house was clean. We loved the chickens and roosters, and the stargazing was fabulous!

  Our family of 6 (kids 19, 16, 14 & 11) fit perfectly in this vacation paradise. 4 twin beds, a King and Queen worked great (5 of us are over 6 ft tall).
  First off, the photos and previous reviews do not paint the current picture. We were pleasantly surprised that the deck has recently be redone as well as the kitchen and bathrooms. Also, there are 4 air conditioners, so each room is as cool as you need it.
  Although the surf was big during our stay (6 to 10 ft faces at Pipeline) we were able to snorkel in front of the house and see turtles and lots of fish. It would be a little rough for an inexperienced swimmer but was fine for my son and me. There are other protected coves nearby that you can snorkel (Turtle Bay & Shark's Cove) in the high surf winter months. I would think that with flat water in the summer it would be even better.
  We rented a minivan from Turo (app) for the week and ordered food from Sam's Club that we picked up in Pearl City after we landed and then drove to the North Shore. This worked great as there are not a lot of restaurant options in the rural North.
  The North Shore is the polar opposite of Waikiki - exactly what we were looking for. No crowds, relaxed - authentic Hawaii.
  The only negatives and this is really nitpicking - was that the King bed is on the main floor and not upstairs in the master suite. My wife and I are tall, and my son really liked having the queen bed all to himself with a private balcony! The kitchen could also use a small egg pan vs big pans that are provided. Also, an electric griddle for making pancakes would have been great.
  I would totally recommend this house and we hope to visit again!!

  This property is in a good location with a lovely view of the ocean, that’s about the best part of it. Property is dated and not well maintained in my opinion. Also, the listing stated the property has a/c but what that really meant was a window unit in the master bedroom. There was no other a/c in rest of house. Internet service was buggy, not working on/off. Not a huge issue as we were there for the scenery/beach but my wife is self employed and did need to get some work done while we were there and we had to use our cell phone as a hotspot at least twice.
  
  The rental agency (team real estate) had good communication throughout so no complaints from them. I just think the owner of this property needs to do some maintenance work on the house.

  This was a great home for our base camp on our family vacation, spacious, clean, comfortable, and quite. We seen whales from the homes deck on a few occasions. enjoyed snorkeling, and beach combing out front of this home. wonderful fruit stand minutes from the home. Only a 20 min drive to great restaurants and shopping. Team Real Estate was easy to deal with and very informative with instructions and directions. The only thing I would suggest is the blender did not work and the sliding screen down did not really want to slide well. But over all Thanks Team Real Estate!!

  The house is located in a fantastic area where you can travel all over the island. You need a car or moped. The view is spectacular and the outdoor shower was perfect.
  The whole house needs a facelift however. Some doors were hard to open, the light over the upstairs bed didn't work and the chairs in the dining area need to be replaced. Despite this I would stay here again as the atmosphere is what you make yourself. There were 7 of us and we had a great time making many different meals and enjoying the whole experience. If you stay here it is not Turtle Bay but a far better experience. You have your own beachfront view which has spectacular sunsets.

  The location of this home on the shoreline is lovely. The layout of the house and the ample furnishings inside and out made for comfortable relaxing, dining, and socializing for the eight of us.
  However, the bathrooms were not clean, carpets were worn and stained, window blinds were broken, and box fans were not adequate in number and/or repair for moving air through the interior. A little cosmetic repair and attention to cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms, would elevate this beach rental to an exemplary standing. We loved the mellow and spacious beachside Hawaii vibe.

  We just returned from a week's stay at Kawela Kai with 2 other couples. The location is awesome, and was central to everything we wanted to do in the area, such as visit the PCC, snorkel at Shark's Cove, Haleiwa shops, North Shore dining (umm, Ted's Bakery was only a few minutes away... a must do), surf lessons, etc. It is beachfront, although not with much of a soft-sand beach... it has a small sand stretch with mostly volcanic rock. You can walk or run the length of the beach on that sand stretch, though, for quite some time. The views are amazing as is the sound of the ocean through the ocean-front windows. And the regular visits by a local rooster... who thankfully didn't crow in the mornings... and a few hens were a fun addition.
  
  On the downside, the property is definitely in need of some updates, and a day after arriving we realized the fridge wasn't working. It took another 2 days for the repair, so we had to throw out a case of yogurt and some chicken we had bought. (We found that most things operate on relaxed "Hawaiian time" on the north shore, and the repair guy was no exception.) I will say that our rental agent Sophia was extremely nice and good to work with, even if she couldn't get a repair guy more quickly.
  
  Overall, it was a great setup for the 3 couples as our "home base" for activities. We had looked at other properties both on and off the beach, and were very glad we ended up booking Kawela Kai because of the beachfront. Who doesn't want to wake up and go to sleep nightly with the sound of waves, and gorgeous Hawaiian sunrises and sunsets over the ocean?

  We stayed only 4 days and really enjoyed the location on the North Shore. Haleiwa has been a favorite of ours but lately it's become more popular, thus more population. This house is further north so out of the "congestion". The road noise is quite loud on one side of the house and the waves are loud on the other - it takes some getting used to.
  The house itself is generally well maintained. The kitchen knives desperately need sharpening, vent hood works but is very dirty, floors could've been cleaner. Overall, it was a positive experience and we enjoyed our stay.

  Our family had a great time here. My wife, mom and newborn (4 weeks) stayed here for 3 nights. We had a wedding to attend at Turtle Bay Resort. We were glad there were two floors and at least one of the rooms (bigger room) had A/C. My mom enjoyed the 2nd floor. With the fans on, it was nice and cool, even during the hot part of the afternoon. You cannot beat the view. My wife's parents and extended family dropped by for lunch and expressed how amazing the view was and how it brought them back to their childhood by the Pacific Ocean in Kaoshiong, Taiwan. If we ever came back to Oahu and the North Shore, we would definitely stay here again.
  
  Again, location was fantastic, couldn't be better, especially during sunset.
  Service was very good. It could use a nice check in phone call to see how things are going. More clear directions, such as: highlight areas of return key and using lock on gate (press code then press down and then pull up).
  Cleanliness-overall clean. Bathroom smelled like bleach.
  
  If we were to comment on improvements, I would say the following:
  1) Consider adding fans to the first floor to improve circulation. This will keep the first floor cooler. Many times we found the 2nd floor cooler than the first floor.
  2) Consider updates to both bathrooms and kitchen. These areas definitely look dated. You would even get better rates.

There were plenty of beds (which were very comfortable) and the ocean breezes were great. Mother Nature gave us a show with the biggest waves seen in years - when we had questions related to that, the owners were very quick to respond. I would go back and rent this same property again.

  What a nice location on the island especially in the winter. There is usable beach most of the time and when the water is low it is really good to walk the beach. The house very accommodating with the large common area. The views are incredible and the yard was great for enjoying the roar of the ocean while relaxing in the lawn.   My husband and I rented out all four houses for our beautiful wedding. Our family who stayed in the venue enjoyed these beautiful homes. This particular home I used to get ready for my bridal party and myself to get ready in. The pictures turned out beautiful when we took pictures on the upstairs balcony. We setup our wedding party in front of the house and used the patio for head table, which turned out beautiful. Each property had it something on it.

  I also recommend that you have good signage with lights to let your guest know where exactly it is located. Some of guest had a hard time finding the place.
  
  The property was well maintained and clean.
  
  I would totally recommend this place as a vacation rental and/or wedding venue.

  We brought our three children to Oahu and this beach house was great! It had a great location. We did many day trips and most were only 1/2 hour from the home. Although, we didn't swim often on the beach located in front of the house, we did explore, found sea glass, enjoyed checking out the tide pools and just taking long walks on the beach. The house was comfortable and the loft was perfect for the kids. Every evening Mother Nature gave us a show of beautiful colours in her amazing sunsets! On the day we left, we were treated to a multitude of rainbows over the ocean. We discovered a great sandy beach that was accessible just across from the fruit stand north of the house. There were also amazing walking trails there that were connected to Turtle Bay. We would definitely return to this location and would highly recommend it to anyone with kids!

  We couldn't have asked for anything better.. The stress of past few weeks just floated away!! Kathy( rental agent) was very fair, very professional, very informative; all information and photos on house 100% accurate; a home away from home except with the fantastic oceanfront views. We are already planning to return!
  Kitchen well stocked with utensils/ equipment for my chef brother to turn out great food: , beds very comfortable, we spent 95% of time out on the large lanai.. 9 of us fit comfortably around the table for outside meals. ( we rented two properties side by side) Turtle Bay just a few minutes drive along the road, or a 30 minute walk along the beach. Sunset beach park just 5 mins walk along beach in other direction( 1 minute in the car). Whale spotting every day from lanai. A great base for further sightseeing, only about 60 minute drive from Honolulu airport( in good traffic)

  What a perfect paradise found at Kawela Kai. This particular home was wonderfully comfortable, suitably equipped for every need, and very well appointed. Easily accommodating my family during our lovely stay on the North Shore, it is located right on a secluded beach with front row seats to beautiful sunsets, rolling ocean tides and surfers, private viewings of critters such as turtles and crabs, and shell collecting to your hearts' content. We were far enough away from the noise/traffic of the popular North Shore beach hangouts but close enough to easily reach them if we wanted to. We plan to return often and hope to stay much longer next time. A very heartfelt thank you is in order to the owners for opening their beautiful home to us, and to the property manager for attending to every detail and making it a great vacation for us!

  Our entire family, consisting of 2 grandparents, daughter's family (4) and son's family (2) stayed in the rental. It fit us well, with plenty of room for the three combined families to co-exist.
  We enjoyed the holiday meal on the deck with two guests (cousin and wife from Oahu).
  Everything worked sufficiently in the cottage to meet our needs with the following two exceptions:
  The seaward vents in the peak of the gable could not be closed, and with wind and rain from the sea, the family in the upstairs master bed had one very wet night; and
  The internet service was spotty to non-existent. Unplugging and reconnecting the modem corrected the problem for a few seconds only. TV [cable?] and wireless were fine. We suspected a failed modem.

  The house was as described. We found everything we needed. It was close to the beaches we love. The view was great, the sunsets incredible. The beach directly in front of the house was not sandy, but the tide pools were fun. You could walk a short distance to easily enjoy swimming in the ocean, we snorkeled. The outdoor shower was great. We loved watching the geckos. There were some cockroaches, but that is part of a tropical environment, it was clean. The rental process was easy. We would return and recommend the house to friends.

  The location is fabulous! The furniture, mattresses, flooring looks like it has had a lot of wear. The smell was a little musty. Maybe that is part of the humidity of Hawaii. One of the upstairs ceiling fans has a loud squeak or rubbing sound to it. Some of the dishes did not seem very clean. We rewashed a lot of them. We had a great time and enjoyed the setting immensely. We had a large leak under the bathroom sink. Team Real Estate was very prompt at getting a plumber out to the house and repair was done the same day. That was very good service. Thank you for your iquiry.

  Overall we had a lovely time. The location and the view were amazing . The house was clean and comfortable. the yard was very pleasant. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils and it was so great to have a washer and a dryer. However,, the guest room with the two single beds has some kind of mold or mildew problem that made it very uncomfortable for whoever stayed in it. Also, one night it rained quite hard outside and we had several leaks in the dining
  area. It was quite a shower during dinner. We should consider recommending this home and would stay again. Thanks.

  We were lulled to sleep each night by the sounds of the ocean. The winter swells were magnificant to witness. The house ws well appointed with towels, bed linens, kitchen supplies and even some beach toys for our grandson. I would definately return to this house for future vacations.
